Dear Yorktown High School '71 Classmates:
Your planning committee for the once-postponed 50th-year reunion is excited to announce we are proceeding with the event set for June 11, 2022, at Arlington's Knights of Columbus.
Though the threat from covid has clearly not vanished, we feel that declining cases, decent vaccination rates and the opening of most public venues and schools bodes well for our having a good and safe time.
There will be no mask or social distancing requirements (though anyone who chooses to wear a mask should feel welcomed). So please make your travel arrangements and spread the word! (Friends from surrounding classes are welcome.)
We've added details on the informal Friday night bar event at the Green Pig Bistro in Clarendon for anytime after 7:00 p.m.
The price remains $90 in advance, or $100 after June 1. (Please get those checks in early so we can plan the food order.)

In the meantime, the Yorktown '71 reunion committee is planning an online "yearbook" of classmates sharing what they've been up to for the past 50 years. Participation is, as they used to say, not mandatory! But we'd love to receive lots of classmates' current photos and written profiles from this form or via email over the next few months, which we will assemble for posting on the reunion website in the lead-up to the big June 2022 event.
